THOR 2 Back On Schedule, Thanks To A New Director

For those of you who are ├╝ber movie geeks out there, you'd know that the great Shakespearean actor Kenneth Branagh was the director of the first THOR film to come out of Marvel Studios starring Chris Hemsworth (aka Captain Kirk's dad from STAR TREK) as the god himself and Anthony Hopkins as Thor's father, Odin.

A sequel was scheduled to be in the works, but was initially delayed due to a fall-though with the director. But now a new director has been chosen: Alan Taylor. According to his IMDB page, Taylor is responsible for directing episodes of TV shows such as The Sopranos, Bored To Death, Sex & The City (a lot of HBO shows), and most recently Game of Thrones.

This replacement now puts the movie back on schedule for release on November 15, 2013. Coming back for the sequel will be Chris Hemsworth and co-writer of the first THOR Don Payne.
